Poem · Loss and compassion
Frozen Tears
English · 16 lines
Dedicated to the Tsunami victims
Calm was the sea on a one Sunday morning,
peace at its pinnacle with no forewarning.
Somewhere on the beach taking a morning stroll,
children had just started on their weekend roll.
Folks as usual were in their daily chores,
waves were dancing without any great force.
Thousands were in their shelters across the shore,
from far and near came tourists to the sea fore.
Just when it seemed as another day to pass by,
earth moved beneath and shattered waves high.
Moment stood still as unruliness struck everywhere,
unable to keep the pace the folks where running no where.
Minutes later the sea was calm and back to it's normal state,
leaving behind was a trail of death and changing human fate.
Time can soothe those million hearts
if you and I can care a little and play our parts.
